French Omelet

This week I had my first culinary class and my homework was to practice making French Omelets. You gotta love doing homework when you're not reading a book or writing, you're cooking! So first things first you have to get everything ready. Get the eggs out, slice the onions, grate the cheese, get out the oil, and get your pan. I chopped the onions first and sauteed them then put them on a plate for later use. I then grated the cheddar cheese and set that aside. Then it was time for the eggs, I cracked 2 eggs in a bowl and beat them with a fork. Next I preheated the pan and put oil in it. I added the eggs and lightly shook the pan and stirred the eggs. Then when they were almost done and the eggs were just a little bit runny i added the onions and cheese and folded the omelet over and put it on the plate. I topped it with salt and pepper. I had sides of toast and 2 sausage links. That was a very filling and delightful breakfast. I can't wait to see what's in store for next week!!
